Was looking for a few korean sp places i normally go to and nobody is answering the phones. Infact someone i know told there are quite a few bust happening throughout downtown. Anybody have any info reguarding this? I dont see as many korean sp ads as i normally do especially downtown.
did they bust a bunch of korean sp?

Had one of those peop who ran a korean place tell me the police busted some place by metrotown and a bunch of them downtown.
The ones who arent busted are afraid of advertising. If you're a regular of some place try calling.
Im kinda sad cause the service,price,quality of girls of these korean ran places are top notch.
yes to quality. and and yes to price ,but service are probably the worst among the others. Yes, some koreans do provide pretty good service, but you have agree majority of them are pretty mechanical. Their service is no where near some of the more reputable caucasian providers and even the chinese. Eventhough chinese are older than their korean counterpart, i have to give them credit for having great service.

I agree! IF the police are going to bust any SP's, please let's make it the over-the-hill ones, that charge $400 an hr, that no one on this board really cares to visit. However, they continue to advertise on this board...
Leave the young, tight, Koreans alone...they DO the city good!
this is a dream come true!!. You can get young girls in china for cheap, >500 RMB for a very good laid and they can easily command double or even triple of that price if they come here. I wouldnt be surprised if we are going to get a influx of young chinese girls to canada soon. In the end, money is all that matter afterall
this will be intresting to see how its going to affect the asian market here with the koreans who demanding a premium because of their youth.
500.00 CNY = 76.2283 CAD ...got this at the Xe.com site. So you'd want to pay 150-225.00 cdn a hour? What's the diff between them and the koreans if they both charge around 160 or so.
chinese sp provide MUCH MUCH MUCH better service by far.
ive been to HK for holiday, and they are young and hot like the koreans but the service is A LOT better.
Not sure, how that would translate if they were to work over here. But if 50% of their service is transferable, it IS still a lot better than the koreans.

ya the hong kong sp experience was unreal. I just hope the vpd n rcmp dont scare away too many people who run these places.

if the chinese girls do indeed came over and saturate market , making the market really competitive. I dont see the korean dropping their price. Too much nation pride. You just know from being friends with some of them. If anything we will see less and less koreans in this market, which I think its unfortunte. Koreans sp has been part of my life for so long, im going to miss them.

Sounds like your life has been turned upside down......a sad day indeed for you.
One location they had on cambie had 3-4 girls working at a time and strange men would be buzzed up from 2pm-2am. Doesnt take much for them to complain to the apartment manager and then inform vpd or rcmp etc.
dragnet looking for illegals and underage. the micros will eventually come back and all will be ok again except for those hiring (or enslaving) illegals and underage
from what i have heard, they are indeed focusing on micros again. from what i gather, they enter the premises in a "bust" strategy. anyone found there could be charged and if not charged then deported for working in canada illegally.
i went recently as a delegation to the police board and presented some plans for sex industry stabilization in vancouver part of which includes making materials language accessible for foreign workers and also to develope a strategy in partnership with immigration canada that makes these migrant workers legal while working in canada and allows them to qualify for rights and supports if they need them. they shouldn't have to fear deportation for calling police. also, GAATW reports state that some workers are executed or jailed upon arrival in their home countries. as canadians i don't think we should just be arbitrarily deporting these workers back to face who know what. we have a responsibility to ensure they will be safe.
another problem is that there is not 1 common strategy being employed by all the different municipalities in the lower mainland and it's a whole bunch of different police forces. eventually it would be nice to see an intergrated sex industry strategy team, like with the homicide divisions IHIT. that way we could try to make sure that workers in vancouver and surrounding areas benefit form any reforms/new strategies being employed.
i know it seems like it is taking forever to see anything move forward and i am as frustrated as anyone. the fact that they are still raiding even after everything they have heard and learned from us about the impacts of having nowhere to work is the hardest of all.
another problem is that police officers are rotated out(to prevent corruption) every 3 years or so . this means we have to re educate a new officer/ officers and we also have to hope that they are even interested in working with us towards safety.
