I think the Habs are going all the way now. They remind me so much of the 2006 Oilers... just a greasy, never-say-die team where several players are playing the best hockey of their lives and whose fans are willing them to victory. Smells like.... destiny.

With the habs beating Ovie n crosby ...i think even if they lose next round people would be ok with that. Atleast they played with their hearts out and gave it 100%. With the canucks we have more talent but we didnt play well as a team. People can say whatever they want about the injuries to the nuckleheads and make excuses.
Even on paper, I'll take Gionta/Camelleiri/Gomez over the Sedins/Salo/Demitra et al any day.
The Canadiens played great as a team. Halak kept Montreal in the series early on, but the whole team got better with each game.
I thought the miracle in hockey happened in 1980 in Lake Placid. Another one is taking place in Montreal 30 years later.

The last time we broke out of the division we won a cup, 1993. We have all the elements of a stanley cup winner, teamwork, hot goalie, leadership, MORALE, superior game tactics. We beat the best team with the highest points in the NHL the first round, and last years Stanley cup champion in the second. We’re on fire olé olé olé!!! olé olé olé!!! olé olé olé!!! Or perhaps he has this pathological need to post in as many threads as possible, you don't get to an almost 7,000 post count by accident.
