Ziggy Palffy retirement

I read on tsn.ca that Ziggy is retiring due to injuries. Wondering if he'll still get paid on the remainder of his 3 year contract.

i doubt it because he was the one who retired so i think he basically gets any money like signing bonuses but i think he can kiss is salary goodbye

If it's injury related and career ending as a result, then there's likely some insurance payout. Doesn't help me; I had him in my hockey draft
