This heated debate thread about cars on another thread, reminds me of my dream. I am never a big time auto fan, but I always wanted to get a Yacht. Something like this. I cant imagine the possibility with it. Currently, I couldn't afford one, I will definately start saving though :p

Does any one own a Yacht here? hehe any kinky story you'd share ?How much does it cost to do all the maintains needed ...ect?

Marine people will tell you a boat will cost about 10% of its price per yr to maintain. I had a 24ft bayliner and I called it ''a hole in the water to throw money at ''

A Blue State Out West
I have a 22ft sailboat. It's 30 years old, not at all fancy or with gadgetry, but pretty tidy & clean. I've gotten more tail because of that boat...sailing quietly into the sunset while the waves gently rock us, cool breezes & the mood making her nipples stiff, feeding her wine, cheese, strawberries, & my dick...
I've been blown many a time whilst steering & trimming the sails. Talk about a test of my seamanship!!!
Sure, the marina fees are killer if it's a good dock, but for me it's been well worth it!

1/4 share

i was watching something on the news... I guess a lot of people feel the same way, want a yacht and can't afford it. So now there are companies where you can go in with three other people and buy a 1/4 share. Split all maintenance and docking fees four ways too.

It's becomming more and more affordable. and yes, I dig guys with boats... I think all chicks do :D

Too far from Edmonton MP's now
A friend of mine works for a dealership in Florida that brokered the sale and construction of Tiger Woods' new yacht (I think it was built in BC, not sure.. I'm sure somebody on here knows.) I got to see it when it arrived before Tiger took possession of it - if he didn't already have the swedish nanny at the time he could have attracted tail like fat kids chasing the ice cream truck. It had plasma TV's, a sweet set up for diving, gourmet kitchen, just absolutely unreal.

Yah gotta be rich to own a powerboat like those. Just the cost of diesel alone can be upwards of 10 grand for a fill up.

There's something to be said though for a sailboat. Cutting the engine and putting up the sails. The only sound is the water rushing by and that loud scream from someone telling you what to do.
