Here is a guy that gives so much back to the community. He gets slammed by comments and he still is nice. I mean sure the guy isn't perfect he has to go bash some guys head in to let his emotions out. Still you just have to see it. I probably don't do it justice with my review at all.

There is even a part where Rocky gets so emotional he is crying. I have seen a few very strong guys do this it is such a tear jerker.

This qoute

"Let me tell you something you already know. The world ain't all
sunshine and rainbows. It is a very mean and nasty place and it will
beat you to your knees and keep you there permanently if you let it.
You, me, or nobody is gonna hit as hard as life. But it ain't how
hard you hit; it's about how hard you can get hit, and keep moving
forward. How much you can take, and keep moving forward. That's how
winning is done. Now, if you know what you're worth, then go out and
get what you're worth. But you gotta be willing to take the hit, and
not pointing fingers saying you ain't where you are because of him,
or her, or anybody. Cowards do that and that ain't you. You're
better than that!"

It wasn't a bad movie - it got back to its roots, with Rocky "going the distance". Sad not to see Adrian there and the "son" relationship scenes were weak. But it is likely Rocky's last movie and was good to see Sly going back to the original Rocky themes. Still miss Mic though.

i just finished watching this flick, and i gotta say i enjoyed it.

everyone has heard the hype about the movie, and all in all i thought it poked a but too much fun at itself, but the cool thin about it is you can't help but like Rocky. i thought we were shown a different rocky in this movie. yeah he's the same guy. the likable underdog, forever the optimist, but you get to see another dimension to him in this one. he's tired, he's lonely, and the line he says in the movie, 'the world hasn't changed, just the clothes' really rang true with me.

i agree with yuppie, the scenes with rocky and his son were pretty weak, but i think they would have came through with more truth-yness with a better actor playing rocky's kid.

i think stallone made this flick because he felt like there was still a story to tell, but to have rocky step back in the ring at the ripe old age of 60 is just ridiculous. metaphorically speaking, it would have been interesting to see rocky step into the ring for a more realistic battle. instead of an aging rocky fighting the heavyweight champ in exhibition, why not rocky finding out he had cancer or, heart disease or something?

How old was Geroge Forman when he did all those fights? He took on all of the big guys and I never seen him sit down in the corner once. He did pretty damn good his punches must have really hurt.

foreman was 45 when he was last in a fight (love wikipedia) i guess what i was trying to say is it would have been neat to see rocky as an underdog in a different scenario other then boxing. like rocky vs. prostate cancer, or rocky vs. being stranded in the woods (no rambo jokes please) etc, etc.

loved the mike tyson cameo too :D
