While the frustration of the average citizen, myself included, feels that this car thief got what he deserved, we also expect better of our police.
These are supposed to be people who undergo vigorous screening and psychological testing to make sure they can remain calm and in control even in "heated" situations.
So what if their adrenalin was flowing? Does that excuse a criminal who resists arrest or me beating someone up becasue my adrenalin ws flowing?
As for them being frustrated by the fact he was a serial car thief and they get frustrated with having to rearrest him all the time. Then get pissed off at our ridiculous justice system and all the bleeding heart, lame ass judges out there who keep letting these asshole out. But for 4 or 5 cops to beat on the guy when he's handcuffed is not the way to handle it.
I certainly don't want one of these guys to be the one who pulls me over for speeding and "doesn't like my attitude".
