Why do the forums seem so dead initially in Winnipeg now in Edmonton?

Rates went up too high , the economy cooled, so pooning activity and frequency dropped.
Less money to go around, so pooners are sticking to their regulars and not bothering to write redundant reviews.

- Lots of Edmonton reviews of indy, micro, BP and visiting SPs there
- A few Edmonton reviews of MP SPs but MPs are dying a slow death
- Almost all Edmonton pooners and PERB vets are there now
- Reviewers there can actually post website links of girls they're seeing for intel purposes
- SPs are freer to advertise, interact with pooners and post their pics there
- Almost all Edmonton SP advertising is there now
- Little to no tolerance there for drama queens, shit-disturbers and wannabe mods
- Their version of The Lounge has more intelligent whacknut-free discussions
- Some of the moderating there can be questionable, esp if they are white knights in disguise
- Winnipeg and BC sections are dead there

Surely, Perb edmonton must have some advantage(s) to offer that the other board doesn't?CAF:

After all, didn't someone previously post that caf was the site for perb rejects?
The primary reason I've been less active on PERB is because there are too many individuals here who feel entitled to comment on every thread - most of them of the 'white knight' variety. The result is that there is too much junk to filter through in order to find good information.
I agree with every point made so far in this thread. However there are likekly other factors that can be added to it. Personal attacks on the reviewers are certainly not encouraging people to post reviews. I am a member of a couple of these review boards and have made postings on both. Being new i likely violated a rule or two by posting reviews on non advertising ladies purely accidental but the intention is always to provide information and help people.
Too often someone makes a post that contains legitimate information that gets lost because someone has a problem with where it was posted, the number of posts a person has or some grammar error. Who F$&*king cares. There are some great people on PERB who really make newbies feel comfortable and encourage them to ask questions, write reviews, and contribute. THen there are those who relish jumping on every word a person writes, questioning their credibility, and quite honestly acting like a wannabe.
I'm new and was not a member during the glory times of PERB, but there is something missing here in the Edmonton section as there are not a lot of reviews. Maybe next time someone posts a review, why not focus on the review and provide a little encouragement to the reviewer. Who cares if the guy has only seen 3 girls in a year or if he asked a question that should be in 411 not Edmonton. A little courtesy sometimes goes a long way.
I think if you eliminate a lot of stupid comments by wannabees, you will see more posts and reviews. Juyst my thoughts.

Largely agree with Wolverine. I read the other board but don't post there, I figure my little bit of information is not worth posting.
I am price sensitive. I would see more ladies however I have a busy job, renovations to pay for, other bills, so I am hesitant to gamble paying and ending up with a poor experience.

Wolvie, I agree with you on this except on the part about the mods there. While they do participate in discussions there and some even post reviews overall they do a pretty good job of moderating. They're not perfect but they value contributing members more than trolls.CAF:

I too am an old Perbert who is saddened to see how dead the Edmonton section here has become lately.
So many of our best reviewers are no longer here like HB40, Rockivy, Namssa and on and on and on....
It's too bad really, 'cause some of the trolls are still around just waiting to pounce on the first hapless pooner who happens to post a review here. Trolls like that wouldn't survive for 5 minutes on CAF.

As for this place, from the short time Ive been involved in the hobby, I found that there is a shift from one site to the other every once in a while. When I started, this was the place to be. It was fun, everyone had fun together.
Then it shifted there for a bit, but came back.
Now the shift is on again...
While I can only speak for myself.....it's a case of nothing new to say. PERB has been really helpful both here in Edmonton, and for my west coast travels. Unfortunately for reviews, but fortunately for me, I have found great awesome ladies in town that I and others have already reviewed so it would be pointless. I mean, how many times do we need to rave about Sandy @ Supreme (for instance) when a search will provide a bunch of great reviews already. I realize that it makes me boring to stick to my tried and true, but that is the point isn't it? Just my reasons for not reviewing anymore. But if I were to enjoy meeting someone new to all, I would most certainly contribute.

Just one piece of advice, make sure the person you review is allowed to be reviewed, I learned that the hard way. THe Moderators do a great job on this site of enforcing the rules but as i said in my earlier post there are individual(s) who seem to think the Mods can't handle it and feel they have to enforce rules on every post by a reviewer. I like PERB and really enjoy some of the disussions in The Lounge section in particular and try and contirbute when i get a chance but the wannabee(s) moderators hijack reviews with senseless, stupid, insulting remarks that have nothing to do with the discussion.
That said, i will continue to contribute reviews as i find any review helpful. I always ask the girls if they are okay with a review and i find most really appreciate a client taking the time to write a review. One even sent me a pm commenting on the childish remarks that were made after a review.
I won't mention a name but there was a former member of this site who used to contributed great reviews. Almost every lady i have seen he has reviewed and his contribution is sorely missed. He left the site because of stupid comments and likely felt he was wasting his time. I can't say for sure why he left but no doubt this contributed to his departure and this site is lesser without his contribution. I hope others will continue to contribute reviews and replace what has been lost.
Funny thing is, i don't ever recall reading a single review from wannabee(s) but always quick to jump on a review from someone else. Kind of makes you think the person(s) is a lurker and probably never seen an SP. Maybe i am wrong.
