ishq on hasting is the latest to be shut down buy the police it was in today problems, the goods news is more independents, but why is the police all of a sudden cracking down ?

It's a symbiotic relationship. No one is being exploited, at least not at places like Ishq.

In all honesty it is pathetic....the cops know what eveyone of these places in the city do. If they are gonna bust them, then bust each and everyone of them. Rather do it or leave them alone. This acting like they got a "tip" is an insult to all tax payers. Like they haven't known what's been going on at The Sweedish Touch all this time? Give me a break......get out there and bust the real criminals who are making our society go down the tank.
Rumour has it that Diane watts, the mayor of surrey is spearheading this charge to stamp out MP's. Perhaps as some suggest it is a political move to try to gain popularity as she makes a play for premier, or perhaps she has more personal reasons for a vendetta against MP's.
What I find interesting is how many public figures use these places. Politicians, off duty police, sports figures, etc. So to claim the moral high ground in your crusade is a bit hypocritical, when people in your own camp use such places. I agree that if such places are employing under-age girls or are active fronts for human trafficking then by all means shut such places down. Whether or not the places that have been shut down so far are indeed guilty of this practice I can't say.
At any rate until such time that the public pressures the government to change the laws to allow for the legalization of prostitution we will periodically faced with crack downs. The only problem is that such crackdowns force the working girls on to the streets, in the arms of waiting pimps, or into condos and basement suites. It does nothing more than displace the girls to new locations.
Prostitution isn't going away anytime soon, so legalizing it so that the girls get licensed, have regular std tests and are provided with a safe work environment seens the logical alternative, though a very thorny one for the conservative members of the community. Imagine the revenue government could collect on said legalization? Perhaps there would be a pooning tax levied?

I am truly happy to see that with ISHQ closing we get to all talk, think and go over what the fundamental aspect of all this is.

As every other business occurs we have expenses such as clean towels, sheets, oils, shampoos, body wash, paper towel, toilet paper, candles, furniture, lease, bills, outfits, advertising, marketing... AND SOOOOO ON! That is why when a woman chooses any agency to work from she is made aware of these expenses. As an independent provider you're facing the same costs. SOme women have made themselves a big enough name that can afford all of this. Some others don't care to deal with the headache of having a work phone and being in charge of their own advertising and that is why they choose agencies. So their work is already done for them.
We are working VERY hard for this industry to change once and for all. So i want to thank you on behalf of ISHQ (and all that it meant to us employees) for your support, all the pm we receive, and the awareness you're contributing to by speaking about this matter on a public review board such as PERB.

Do it like they do it in Edmonton, have each girl get a police clearance and a holistic license. The whole package costs $ 180 and then she can work in a MP in Edmonton
I spent a day with a friend who works through an agency. She was surprised at how long it took to answer calls and go through info, and, weed out the silly ones. She likes the fact that she just has to show up at the call and she is willing to pay for that convenience. After seeing what it's like dealing with the phone she would prefer to NOT be indy.
Some girls prefer being Indy, it's true. Personally I prefer an agency or MP. They take care of all the advertising, phone calls and booking appointments, things that are quite time consuming and things that I would rather not do myself. I worked independently for a while and I used to spend hours at my computer and far too much time on the phone with men who had no intention of booking an appointment. I find it MUCH easier to have the MP take care of all this for me.
They also provide a clean and safe incall location. Being on my own, I would never be able to afford an incall of my own. I also feel a lot safer knowing that there are staff and other girls around in case something goes wrong with a client. They also provide linens, towels, soaps, massage oils, toys, and do all the laundry - all of which are things an independent SP has to provide herself. I am happy to have all these things taken care of for me, in exchange for a fee that relatively speaking is not that high.
