Neither of these two teams are my favourite. Of the two, I like Detroit because their style of play reminds me of the "lunchbucket" Bruins [who I liked to watch, but didn't cheer for]. Pittsburgh has some amazing players whose plays make for excellent "plays of the week", but I find it hard to watch them play a whole game for some reason. Detroit in six.

I'd like to see the Penguins win. They really have to win now, especially in today's NHL.

Penguins in 6.

I want to see the Red Wings win because they are the better team. I don't have anything against Pittsburgh but if you watched game one, it is quite obvious that Pittsburgh has to adjust to a more defensive posture and I don't think they can do it successfully. Detroit is going to wait for the Pens to pinch and get an odd man rush or breakaway and score. Also, Datsyuk and Zetterberg can match up defensively against Crosby ans Malkins line but it doesn't work the other way around. Basically Detroit is just too balanced and with Osgood playing sharp, this could be a short series.

Really, either team in that they both play a brand of hockey that should make fans of teams like the Leafs, Canucks and even the Flames hang their heads. Malkin, Crosby, Zetterberg, Datsuk even Ryan Malone and the Detroit grinders go to the net and try and make plays. Both teams execute more passes and show more creativity in a single period than a lot of NHL teams do in a game. Pen's kind of served up a stinker and they could very well lose the series but I thought that was high skilled and exciting hockey.

But I'd like to see the Pen take it.

Looking at the polling results, approximately 40% of the respondents are pissed off, hurting, mad at the world, and just generally unhappy that the Red Wings won the Stanley Cup...for the fourth time in 11 years! I don't normally like to do this, but I gotta say "told ya so...told ya so!" :D Good luck to the Penguins next year...they made watching the games interesting right to the end! :)
