So want to do a week all inclusive to Mexico momentarily. What area do you guys suggest? Been to Puerto Vallarta and Riviera Maya once each. I really enjoyed Vallarta.

Cancun sounds to Americanized and for youngsters that want to party hardy. I love getting out and doing the night life but not to excess.

Los Cabos? Mazattlan?

Maybe I will do a poll lol

Hi Riza

If You're only planning on going for a Week, I would assume You'd want a short Flight time ?

I would suggest Ixtapa/Zihuatanejo, which is only a 5 & 1/2 hour, direct Flight from YVR .

Ixtapa is Safe, has a great long Beach, and a safe low Key night Life ! It's not Americanized, by any stretch of the Imagination . Also great Westcoast Sunsets .

Cabo from what I've been told is very Americanized .
But, some People like that, and You might get Sammy's Autograph ? LOL

Say Hi to Frank at "Frank's Bar & Grill" .
A Canadian Expat from Ontario who's been down there for over 20 Years . Great Pizza by the way !

If You go, there's a great Liquor Store at the Northend of the Ixtapa Beach, by the Marina .
Pick up a Bottle of Adictivo Anejo Tequila .

You'll thank Me later ! LOL

Haste luego Senorita!

Salud Mr Q.

Options, options, to many choices lol.

I have done sunwing packages last 3 vacations and had good results. Fairly inexpensive which works because I would rather do more vacations in differnet places than spend it all on one fancy one.

Those that know me also know I am not a flashy high maintenance type girl lol. I would walk by Gucci store to get to Value Village lol.

Just have to figure out my travel mate now :high5:

I alternate visiting both coasts of Mexico once a year at least and Vallarta has become my favourite destination for too many reasons to list although I don’t much care for the all inclusives anymore. I prefer to stay at a nice hotel and just pay as I go without being restricted to a single resort/meal plan. Food, drinks and service are always better this way especially in Vallarta with the abundance and concentration of higher quality bars and restaurants in the romantic zone/old town. So much to do and see from sun up till six in the morning and all within walking distance with dirt cheap Uber and buses if needed. HIGHLY recommend the art walk!! https://www.tripadvisor.ca/Attraction_Review-g150793-d2710874-Reviews-Vallarta_Art_Walk-Puerto_Vallarta.html A day or overnight boat tour to Yelapa is definitely worth looking into as well as ATVing up into the mountains. I’ll give Waldo at Estigo tours a plug for both. You don’t see nearly as many of the paramilitary police or marines as you would in Los Cabos or Cancun/PDC because it’s that much safer.
I’m going to PV in December and will be doing a side pooning visit to Guadalajara which I describe as the Montreal of Mexico. Super sex work friendly(lots of college and University students), multi cultural, second largest metropolitan city in the country.
Choose wisely and have a great trip!!

If you where going to Cuba......your travel mate would be wearing cowboy boots on the beach in Havana.

" I am not your lover...and I may never be
The saddle bags are tied down tight, and the silver jangles free...
The horses are tied to the rail outside, sugar ride way with me...."

I am flexable and Cuba has been on my radar since I have never been before. :)

Cuba is more of an adventure then being a laid back vacation. i mean, you can go to Veradero and it'll be like Mexico but... its Cuba! if you're there then you should experience it before its not the same anymore.

Check out the other side of Mexico that few resort travellers see: the silver cities of Guanajuato, Guadalajara & San Miguel de Allende. Mexico has a very rich history and you'll see in those towns. Guanajuato is amazing - I originally planned to stay for a day but ended up staying a week. It's that pretty.

Look left. Way left.
Anyone have updates on the stinkweeds on the beaches on the Caribbean side?

I've been to Puerto Vallarta many times over the last 15 years. Locals don't seem as friendly as they used to be.
