My cat is named Wakka... from final fantasy.. since he is a Tabby. Got him from Cherry actually last September. She named him.

He sleeps... in the bathtub, on top of my closet, under the couch, and lately in my computer desk shelf. Sometimes on my computer chair and sheds on it too!

Loves anything plastic... plastic bag especially.. likes to lick them, play in them.. freaks out if I put one over my hand and play with him.

He is crazy. I love him though!

Cats love to change where they sleep.
This is one of the best posts I've read on here since I signed up several years ago.

Growing up, my family never had a pet in the household.

In one of my previous common law lives, I once had the pleasure of living with her and her calico cat named Chi. When I first met Chi at my then girlfriend's apartment, I knelt down to greet this beautiful and colourful cat. She gingerly approached me and then proceeded to step up on my kneeling thigh, then climb up my arm to the shoulders before finding a resting place by wrapping itself around the back of my neck. I did not know what to make of this unusual greeting but I was pleasantly surprised, as was my girlfriend. In fact, she was quite shocked. Two years later, they both move into my dwelling high in the sky. I built a little wool covered perch for Chi by the massive living room windows overlooking the city and she lived like a queen. At night, when it was time to sleep, I would simply pat my chest twice and Chi would come running into the bedroom and jump onto my chest... facing me virtually nose to nose. She would purr us a lullaby, a very cute ritual. I have a cat allergy so I suffered but persevered as Chi slept on my chest. Three years later, my relationship ended along side with Chi. I was still able to see Chi every once in while including her dying days.

Peace.

This thread brings a tear to my eye, as I had to put my baby down just over a month ago. 2 months shy of 20 years old.

But she used to sleep on the right half of the bed. For probably the last 17 years, she always slept on my bed. Started right between my legs for a few years, then on my chest, then right beside me.
Or if I was sitting watching tv, she would be in my lap.

My sincere condolences for your loss jdtipper. I had the honour to live with Chi for only 3 years and I do miss her. I cannot imagine how I would feel if I had her for 20 years. You and your cat were very lucky to have such time together.

Peace.

I don't have a cat but I used to sleep over at a girlfriend's house every now and again. She had this massive, overly plump and rather squishy tabby called Sam. He liked to curl up on my chest or next to my head and sleep. I normally wouldn't mind, but Sam the fat cat had terrible gas. Absolute worst flatulence I've ever smelt from either human or animal. I'd grab him and plop him onto my girlfriend's side of the bed- she seemed to be completely used to his cat farts.

Wakka used to sleep on my chest and sometimes curled up with his head firmly in my armpit. He switches it up now between the carpet in front of the bathroom, and sometimes under my night table. Still does my computer chair too, and have to vacuum it every time I come home from work as he is shedding like mad. His favorite food seems to be meow mix original choice... goes through more of that than anything else lately. He is crazy crazy about olives too... for some reason all cats I have known love olives. Weird no?
