Where can I buy Foie Gras in Vancouver?

I am going to host a party at home and would love to serve Foie Gras to my guest.

Does anyone here know where I can buy Foie Gras in Vancouver?

I really enjoy the taste of goose/duck liver. I bought some Foie Gras in France last year and they were very cheap and available in every market. I imagine Foie Gras is much more costly here in Canada?

I appreciate any info.

Try Les Amis du Fromage on W 2nd Ave. You can get some excellent cheeses there too.

There's a couple of places in the Granville Island Market that I cant remember to save my life. Make sure you try the Cognac Foie. Its to die for.

Get the stuff that has been cryovac and not canned. Canned is not very tasty.

I was actually going to order Foie Gras online, from either stores in France or US but I knew I could find some in Vancouver as well. I am glad I asked.

I prefer cryovac, too.

But when I found out how it's created, I really can't stomach the thought of it. Then again, if I really thought about all the food in my kitchen, I'd probably end up a miserably depressed vegan. I just love meat too much!
