Anybody who was ever a fan of WKRP In Cincinnati, remembers Bailey Quarters. She was the smart and shy billing manager that soon gained confidence and became, a disc jockey. As the show went on she became sexier, but could never quite compete with Jennifer (Loni Anderson). Bailey was played by Jan Smithers. Smithers didn’t act much after WKRP, except for some small roles on T.V. So, after all these years where has she been?


Well the answer simple. She has been in California losing her Goddamn mind. After the show she married the future Mr. Barbara Streisand, James Brolin. The two were married for eight years and had a daughter. Everything was going good for awhile. She was interested in getting back into acting a few years ago, but that hasn’t worked out very well.

The main reason for her not being able to find work as an actress, maybe because she is now crazy. She has recently been in the hospital recovering from a traffic accident. This wasn’t your normal accident though. She was driving naked and stopped on a remote California highway in the middle of the night.

Smithers got out of her car and began waving down a truck, keep in mind she’s still naked. The truck driver somehow didn’t see her and hit her. Ironically, when the police got to the scene, they found nothing wrong with her car. They have no idea why she stopped. Smithers can’t remember anything about the accident or why she was driving naked in the middle of the night.

It’s really sad when hot women go crazy. Maybe there will be a WKRP reunion T.V. special she can be part of. If that doesn’t happen, there are always reality shows looks for has been actors.
