Just heard on Sportstalk radio, do the CH & BW know what our record in the last 9 meetings? We're 1 win, 8 losses. Outscored 33-14, something stupid.

Yeah yeah i can hear the bandwagons saying the regular season doesn't matter, or that my Joey boy will choke but I still don't like our chances.

And what doesn't make it better is this illusion fr the most recent 'successful' road trip. We 're definitely playing beyond ourselves, when u hv Rome & baumgartner haha.

This defence worries me. U add in Bieksa's inactivity, he'll need time to adjust plus u can count onhim taking stupid penalties; and he'll be inconsistent as usual.

And like the hosts said, yr homer boys Taylor et al, Edler exactly isn't panning out. O'Brien will be beat just like last yr Game 6. Mitchell's done for the season. Good thing by fluke that Gillis signed Erhoff, & that's only bc Heatley was a baby who forced San Jose to act & release Erhoff for nothing.

Pretty straight forward.
Sharks are going to be 1 or 2 seed.
To play them first round we have to fall to 7 or 8 seed.

We are currently 8 points up on each, with 15 games left, 10 at home.
For Vancouver to fall to 7th or 8th, it would mean a major slump to end the season.
Like a 4-11 or 5-10

In which case they would probably lose to whoever they play.

Defense is a concern. I don't think Mitchell will be back, and even if he is, he won't be 100%; or get hammered in the playoffs and have post-concussion symptoms.

hopefully Willie and the Canucks organization are just taking a precautionary approach to not rush him back into the line up (we seem to be doing fine without him right now) and be hopefully 100% healthy by the start of the 2nd round.

Canucks should be fine without Willie for the rest of the regular season and the 1st round. its the second round that becomes critical.

The Canucks are a good team, but their success is ultimately linked to Luongo, not the Sedins, not Kesler, but Luongo, who has been shaky at times this year. The stress of the captaincy has clearly gotten to him, along with the added stress now of being an olympic champion. He thinks he has to be world class and has lost focus on what makes him world class; being calm, being cool, being technically sound. Has he consistently showed that this year? No. If he goes on a streak though, the Canucks will be a force. Canuck fans please, I beg of you, have a REALISTIC perception of your team, both good and bad.

Yup, I agree. Luongo is the one that will most likely determine their playoff success.

However, with Henrik having the career season he has, among the other forwards; their success is also dependant if the Sedins play like the Sedins, or like the sisters we have seen numerous times in the past.

I could see them make it out of the 2nd round if they play favorable opponents; meaning the younger inexperienced teams (Phoenix, LA, Colorado).
