It depends on the best friend. If my best friend were a dog I'd say loyalty. If it were a human being I'd say honesty.

Life is a sexually transmitted disease.

You forgot to say,
Its terminal.

My friends are just easy to be with.
When I was younger I guess I had a few just casual people in my life.
We would go drinking play around of golf etc.

The older I get the more I kind of like to be alone, I mean I always do, but
I can't be bothered with anyone who is like any way negative,

I mean I'm richer then you or smarter then you, or in any way I guess you know the type want to put you down.

We can tease and joke and fool around but when it gets to putting the other person down in a serious way. I don't need that.
I really don't believe any one is better then any one else. Were just different.

Everyone has issues to be honest with you, if some one puts me down or tells me how to live my life, Im out.

My friends just accept me who I am, whatever I am,
and I do the same to them

I miss some of my old friends. The ones you have known forever. The ones who "remember when" and Who know everything about you. They have seen you at your best...seen you at your worst. You have been through thick and thin together. You get into fights. But they are silly fights, because you know, no matter what. They are part of your life and will still be there tomorrow. I miss that comfort and security in having an ol' group of friends. Living on the west coast all my friendships are new.

I NEVER fight with my friends, maybe I'm weird. I've known my best friend for 23 years, we've never fought or disagreed on anything. I've known her the longest but she is one of 6 really important friends, whom I've never fought with...

What I value about my friends is that we all have strengths that we share when needed, to support each other. That we're always there for each other. That we enjoy each other's company.

And there are no bullets involved.

You are right. People who know me know I dislike arguing very much. There is many reasons for that. Often times I see the other person is so happy to be right, I do not want to take away that feeling. I am not a pushover don't get me wrong, but it's just a bunch of negativity I do not want. aka: Unnecessary stress.

Great question, the qualities I look for would be loyalty, honesty, good sense of humor, reliable and low maintenance. Within all that I have some great friends that'll be with be with me for life.
My friends are my family, as for the low maintenance part I'm sure some of you can relate where when life gets a bit busy for you to stay consistently connected no one gets bitchy or moody. I've had some ones where it was like a schedule, instead of a lax gathering.
