I am looking to upgrade my video card to a radeon 9800pro and overlock the motherfu*ker. But my question is can i overlock any brand or does it have to be the ATI one? And where can i get a cheap one?

ATI Tool (just google it) is a great and simple over clocker for ATI cards . And yes you can over cock any brand of video card. Nvidia, or ATI.

as an all around card i'd have to say that ATI has the overall advantage over any nvidia products due to their superior 2D image quality and color richness. and not to mention the other features ATI cards have for streaming video and hardware rendering.
for a good ati tool and other ATI related stuff www.rage3d.com has everything u need as well as the program Rage3D Tweak. this can overclock ATI videocards in laptops which are said to be un-overclockable. it has access to other tweaks as well
