I booked my hotel downtown ... close to the Yale ... but I'm curious if I made the right choice ??

Should I consider something more in the burbs ??

I am driving out there so transportation isn't a problem.

Well, OK, for what it's worth, my guess is that downtown is good. But what do I know?

When I lived downtown, I visited SP's downtown. Now that I live way outside of the city, I visit SP's downtown because that's the part of the city I'm in when I visit on business.

But I have no idea how "representative" I am.

Anyway, I'd think that downtown is the most interesting place to hang out between clients.

Downtown is the best spot

DT Vancouver is the best spot, when I come in town, I always get a hotel room DT.

Perhaps mix it up a bit and spend a few nights at the hotel at the River Rock, I've been meaning to try that hotel myself.

You made the right choice. Vancouver is small enough that downtown is not too difficult to get to from surrounding areas. Parking might be a problem though.

Where in SF?

The city, South bay, East bay, North bay?

Lots of geography there, but many would be surprised how really small SF, the city, is.

I would suggest you check out which baseball team will be in town. Big bucks to be made there. But, wait, I just did and, bad news, it is the TB Devils Rays and they probably stay at Motel 6. Sorry.

lol OMG you're a brat ... lol

baseball players do nothing for me ... now football or or or or I might get a little stir in my girlie parts.

Trip south is getting cut short at San Fran actually !! and NO seattle - I want to see that city and all of it.

Maybe even fall in love with an San Fran dude so I can go back.

You do not have to love the baseball players, just their money. Where else are you going to find a group or 15-20 guys (21-34 years old) with so many millionaires. (Unfortunately, not the Devil Rays).

Last I looked minimum wage was around 300 thousand, or thereabouts. Football players make a lot less, except for the headliners.

Next time plan your trip for when the big money teams are in SF or Oakland and I'll let you know which hotel lobby to hang out in. Might be a little crowded, as you will have lots of competition.

BTW: Bring lots of warm clothes as it can get get pretty cold here, depending on what area of the city you are located. I have seen as much as a 25 degree (F) difference from downtown to the Richmond area on the very west end, near the ocean.
