Just a quick thank you to Cheif Jamie Graham for taking this animal off the streets. I work in the downtown entertainment district and am in a position where I have semi constant contact with the VPD......Having had a run in with "HOSS" over an issue(non-criminal) I was treated like a piece of crap.....for no apparent reason....He tried to physically intimidate me....but as a big boy myself that was unsuccesful.....He did not like the fact that someone was standing up for themselves and told him where to put his badge....lol.....This was a non criminal matter and if he would have asked in a polite manner the problem would have been solved. Instead I was left feeling like I had commited a crime and intimidated by his buffoon tactics. If this is a sgt. I cant imagine his officers below him. Our streets are much safer without this hooligan cop on the streets. Just because you have a gun and a badge makes you no better than a regular person..............To Sgt McConnell: When youre stripped of your badge I could name a few law abiding citizens who would like a peice of your ass. Your not so tough without that gun and badge. For being such an ass over the years.............YOU FINALLY GOT YOURS!!!!
Anyone else had run ins with this idiot?????

The Story

Dont take me wrong a career criminal needs a good ass whopping once in a while but its no the VPD's job to do that.........Heres a little info

Probe follows police photo session
By MATT KIELTYKA, 24 HOURS

Five Vancouver police officers could face disciplinary action or even criminal charges for taking pictures during an arrest.

After arresting a 40-year-old man in the 6800 block of Balaclava Street Nov. 5, one officer - who isn't being identified - propped the prisoner up by the head or neck as three others gathered around for a humiliating group photo.

Insp. Rollie Woods, officer in charge of the VPD's professional standards section, launched an internal investigation after obtaining a copy of the photo for the first time yesterday.

"We know four officers were in the photograph with a prisoner," he told media at a press conference yesterday.

"We've launched a criminal investigation to determine whether the photo is appropriate or not."

Asked if the photo had been intended as a trophy shot, Woods only said that would be determined later in the investigation.

Adblock

"I can't say whether that was their intention or not ... I can't see a legitimate reason [to take the photo]," he replied. "I'd rather wait and hear what their explanation is before making any speculations."

The male prisoner appears in the photo with a cut on his face and Woods said part of the investigation will determine whether excessive force was used during the arrest.

Sgt. Keiron McConnell, of the Firearms Interdiction Team, and four constables from the unit are implicated in the incident

I have also had two run ins with the piece of shit over simple traffic matters. Both times he was rude, ignorant and tried to intimidate me. Unlucky for him I was able to put high powered lawyers on the phone to tell him to fuck off after I doing so myself. He actually wanted me to take a breathalzyer once because I was smoking a cigar (fucker ruined my Cohiba) and he was convinced that people only smoke cigars to cover up the smell of alcohol. I had not had a single drink yet that day. He was actually going to handcuff me and take me in without allowing me to talk to a lawyer had I not made a big scene in the middle of the street for him and specatators had gathered to watch and take picures of what was happening. Two weeks later I ran into him at the Roxy pissed drunk and he tried to start something but again backed down when he was told to bring out his best as I would like to own part of City Hall.

Good Riddance you fucking piece of shit:mad:

I cant wait to see you get the shit kicked out of you

OK but--

Not sure if this thread is really appropriate being a direct attack against some one by unknown people. We should let the system take its course without the expletives, innuendo etc..... .

Not a prude, just prudent.

Where else can we voice our compliant. I complained to the VPD about his attitude and abuse. Guess who came to investigate my complaint " HOSS" How the fuck does that work. He thens proceeds to ask me whats the fuckin problem. I complain and the guy I'm complaining about comes to see what the problem is. What kind of shit is that. This thread was not meant as a personal attack more as a warning to fellow man. Take it how you may..........Hes still an ass

I have no problem with this thread, as i see it its all part of the story on VPD, There really is a problem in all departments and its been there for many years. With the advent of video recorders and now digital cameras - we the payers of their wages can see what really is happening - who can forget Rodney King??? I bet we all thought it happens ONLY in the US well it doesn't.
Personally I have had NO issues with the cops except for speeding tickets and such, but I do work around and know a few of them, and frankly I have lost a lot of respect. On the other hand they are frustrated as well with our system m- but there is no excuse for this guy and his behavior - we should have a look at the recruiting system while we are at it.

Just my 2 bits worth

I had the same thing happen in Winnipeg, went to the inspector in charge of professional standards and it just made things worse. The cop in question even looked like this Hoss guy. Eventually a D/Chief dealt with him. Some senior officers find guys like him handy to have around, so they tolerate his excesses.
Recruiting is tough, because they guy you recruit now isn't going to be the same guy ten years down the road. All of us change over time.

I wonder how you'd feel if he had beaten the shit out of someone with 55 convictions for solicitation. I am sure some self righteous housewife would argue she deserved it too. Would she deserve it?

Are you seriously comparing "Solicitation" to "Break and entering"? You are a bigger idiot than I thought.
I personally think we should be allowed to kill someone who breaks into your house. There is no reason some scumbag should be entering your house uninvited.

your mom says hi.
i've had one run in with this guy once downtown, one of the few times i actually went to a club and i'm not gonna say the whole story but i mentioned a name of a very respected retired member of the vpd and that he was a friend of mine and things calmed down a bit.

same tactics tried to intimidate with size and whatever. funny thing is though that i took a few classes in regards to law while in university and i knew most of my shit although its been a little while:eek: and i knew that what he was doing was bullshit, also i'm about 6'2, 255lbs myself, and i'm still fairly young and athletic and have been known to hit the gym so its not ALL fat weight:D .

I find it ironic that seem to support po's administering "a good ass whopping" to "a career criminal" yet take glee that "Hoss" is off the street......

The attitude that police officers can administer summary justice such as "ass whoppings" create an institutional culture that encourages the Hosses of this world to do what they do....

I have a first-hand appreciation of front-line operational policing and I accept that sometimes the toxic combination of fatigue, frustration, and lack of resources can result in an overly-aggressive and arguably unlawful hard-handed approach...and candidly....on a personal basis.... I'm not actually in a position to be overly-critical of that operational reality....

However.....if you want your policing service to be delivered along what's referred to as the 'professional policing model'....you don't want to even be remotely accepting of summary justice even for the worst of career criminals...because with even tacit acceptance....you are going to end up with a police culture that gets impatience with both habitual ciminality and the perceived ineffectiveness of the administration of justice and in turn takes law into their own hands....The results are not pretty....and do nothing to enhance the values of a free and democratic society.
