Who knew that our team sucking so bad this year would have an effect upon Woody Harrelson's part on True Detective?
ound:
Wouldn't matter if we did have a top three pic. Gillis would fuck it up anyways. The worst part is they aren't bad enough to get a top 3 pick.
In Gillis we trust.Wouldn't matter if we did have a top three pic. Gillis would fuck it up anyways.
Then give it up in a shitty trade a couple of years later.

Speak for yourself! As I posted in the Mike Gillis thread:In Gillis we trust.
So do you think Gillis is a great GM and could really make this team work without the owner's looking over his shoulder? All I see is a guy who had great assets who gave them away for a cup of coffee.Listened to team1040 radio and host said aquillinis are very active owners. Even at the trade deadline war room they where very involved. Any gm who's hired by aquillinis would have to put up with their meddling. Wonder why majority of fans trash gillis but not owners?
Easier to fire a GM than an owner don't you think?Everyone knows assets where given away. Gillis was never a experienced gm even before his hire. He was given a contract extension by ownership. So someone is happy with his work. Hey I understand every team had active owners. But wondering if Vancouver has more than usual active owners? So should we let owners off the hook and blame everything on Gilli's? I've seen some crappy runned teams like Edmonton and islanders where the gm is kepted forever and ownership is never blamed. Have a feeling gillis will be here for awhile
I was under the impression that the Schneider deal was not in the discussions at last year's trade deadline, seemed to catch everyone by surpriseWas last years trade deadline where aquillinis where at luongos door telling him he's going nowhere and they are shipping Schneider. Just saying are owners might be a little more active than most
