ah... that one I'm not a fan off. That kid was video taped as something private, and then "friends" of his got ahold of it and put it on the web... then he became an international icon for dorkness... much to his embarassment.
I have empathy for that kid and don't find it funny. The dorks in the costumes out on the street are fair game though...

That was actually a demo tape that he was going to send to George Lucas... the kid was that desperate to be in an upcoming SW flick. As for how it got on U-Tube, some A-hole "friends" thought it would be funny to put it online WITHOUT the kids consent...and now you know the rest of the story.
So then he had to deal with international humiliation from something that he had never meant to be released to the public. For crying out loud, it was on the NEWS everywhere as well...
That is the point... and who is this 35 yr. old geek you keep speaking of? I know of a 50 year old geek who seemingly owns half the known world in one way or another...
If someone is in public, it's fair game... everything else really requires permission to be used, as far as I'm concerned.
