Hotel Rates
I was sitting here thinking about travel costs. My last trip to Edmonton, I stayed in a $200 a night room. Thats about average as far as rooms I stay in. Some are up to $300 a night.
This got me thinking. I stayed at the Delta Edmonton Center, a 154 room hotel. Hell, figure that out:
154 X $200 average = $30,800 a night if fully booked.
$30,800 X 30 days a month = $924,000 a month.
- wages, utilities, etc.... = HOLY SHIT!!!
Now, every time I have booked the Delta Edmonton Center, I have had to book a week in advance because it's usually fully booked.
I need to buy a hotel LOL. It amazes me how much hotels charge.
Add on th $4.00 bottles in the room, the $23.00 to park your car, $4.00 tourism fee, and $2.50 advertising fee. I guess that at $200.00 a night for rooms doesn't make them enough to cover the cost of advertising. So they charge each room an extra $2.50. Go figure LOL
They could probably charge 50% less and still make a damn nice profit.
Ok, that was tonights brain fart.
