Im a new hobbyist. There sure is some learning curve to this whole thing. My question today is about tipping. I did a search but did not find enough information to satisfy my curiosity.

Some ads say tipping is appreciated. That implies to me that tipping is at the sole discretion of the customer. I do agree with the train of thought that tipping is special and should be done because, I want to show my special appreciation. But when done, it in no way should be done to insult or diminish the provider. So finally to my specific question.

Are there any general guidelines? Is there a certain amount that is so low that it is an insult? Do you who do tip have customary amount? Is percentage of original fee something that is used? What other things beside money are given in showing of appreciation? I would love to hear from the wonderful woman here, their ideas on what makes them feel appreciated (tip wise or gift wise).

Im not saying every session deserves a tip. But we know a great experience when we have one, and I would like to know the best way to show it.

No tipping.

I don't tip. I can sense all the women crossing me off their to do list. :) Vancouver prices tend to be relatively fixed and paid up front. This makes the Vancouver scene different from the Thailand scene, Tijuana scene, etc. Actually tons of things make those scenes different from the Vancouver scene, but anyways...
The advantage of a relatively standardized price (about $200) and the upfront payment nature of this Vancouver market, makes tipping a rarity.

Anybody see Reservoir Dogs, and Steve Buscemi/Mr. Pink rant about tipping the waitress?

Take note. Gratuities are strictly optional. They are always welcome but not necessary, especially in "pooning", unless you require some extras to leave happy (golden shower, scat, etc).

The variable fixed price is enough for an independent SP to comfortably live off of, minus expenses.

deep in the Y
do you want to be remembered?

If your plans are to only see the lady once, pay your fee and have your fun.

If you have any desire to make a lasting impression, give her flowers, chocolate or a nice $$$ tip.

Any lady who says a tip is not required but appreciated is right - and she'll remember you for it. Separates you from Dave Jones and Daaaaaaaaaaave Jones.

Trust me.

To generalize somewhat tipping is expected or at least the norm in the US. In Canada I would say that tipping is not expected and that probably the majority of men do not tip.
