I can only get to a just a small handful of my bookmarked websites (including this one obviously) but cannot access others. Is there another worm out there?

I've got no problems. I checked Symantec's website and there's nothing out of the ordinary noted there. Its more likely your internet service provider who is having problems (or you need to reboot :p ).

Done it all...I've rebooted, shut my modem off and on, and have done the ipconfig /release and /renew. I'm using Telus' ADSL service, in case anyone else is having problems. I could call their support desk, but prior experience tells me that would be like trying to explain quantum physics to a cage full of baboons.

Have you tried a different browser? You may eventually have to reinstall your current browser. Also, clean up your temporary internet files (I would probably start with this).

Telus service

I receive a number of different Telus bills ADSL, work home, etc., and with some of them I elected to have them sent via e-mail. This works fine, except Ineed a printed copy for financial records, and they almost always print in a manner that makes it difficult to read the right hand column, which of course is the one with the numbers in it. So like a dutiful customer, I searched the help files on their website (an excercise in incredible complexity) but could not find anything relevant or helpful. I did, however, come across a link which invited me to send an e-mail request for help, if I was unable to locate the answer I needed. I followed the instructions, and soon received an e-mail with clear instructions on how to get right back to that part of the website which I had just carefully reviewed and found wanting. In short, they cannot even tell that the e-mail originated from the place they wanted to send me back to.
