Superfreakonomics chapter on prostitution

Has anyone read Superfreakonomics book? The first chapter is on prostitution and it is pretty interesting. Here is an excerpt on it but I recommend you read the entire chapter:

Just insightful info on the economics of the business and how it has evolved over the years.

they were talking about street walkers and making a big generlization from there,

i don't see it, i emailed with a lady out of chicago wasn't a street walker and her prices were comparable to vancouver,
i suppose in part its true lots of people are having sex for free but hasn't there always been,,

it is not necessary about getting it for free, im married and don't really want any hassles. and i guess its fare to say i have always been attracted to porn so this is just an extension of it,

i think it might have something to do of the lowering of standards the dumbing down of society, where everything seems to be geared to the mentality of a junior high school kid,

a nice high class hooker or sw, which do you pick, because society has gotten so dumb lately and has no class, sw tend to be more in voque or maybe it has something to do with drug use, drugs are pretty common now days to, people going down picking up there drugs picking up a street walker as well.

The excerpt covers the beginning of the chapter which covers street walker/drug addict type of hookers. There is a good discussion afterwards on 'escorts' in general covering topics such as clients, what determines demand and rates for an escort, risks, pros and cons of a pimp, differences of prostitution in different neighborhoods, etc... A lot of the info is probably already known by people in the business but still some good insights and a good read if you are in this hobby.
