I got a strange email today, from this address: support@okpay.com

This was the email:

"Hello,

I want to warn you that OKPay is scam payment processor.

They were fine while I was making small transfers, but as soon as my
balance reached 11000 USD, they blocked it.

And it's blocked since August last year.

Stay away from OKPAY!"

There was no link or attachment in the email. I've never even heard of OKPAY. What is this all about??

Thanks, I'm familiar with the adage.

I did a Google search already and didn't come up with anything that explained the email I received. I'll do another one using different search terms, though, since your response seems to indicate that I'll find something useful :)

okpay was the first thing up on the screen - before i even finished typing it!

it still didn't solve your mystery, but it provided okpay's website

Yes, I found their website address on my first Google search. However, I was trying to determine the meaning behind this particular spam email.

*chuckles* i guess i'm about 10 miles behind the play! yeah, i can't figure it either - put it in the trash can and call it one of life's mysteries - although i'd want to know why it's being sent to you

I am hoping that this helps. This email has been sent to many people users and non-users it is just a spam email used to discredit okpay. Maybe disgruntled ex-employee. Hope that helps, by the way you look amazing holly....
When I get to vancouver I will have to spend some quality time.

Haha, it's not a big deal. I was just curious, because my understanding was that people make money off of scam emails (either by getting you to click on something, or trying to get your account information, or trying to get you to send them money, or something). I couldn't figure out the point of this email, and wondered if I was missing something.

^ This seems to make the most sense.
