I currently have an electricial who also is an extremely efficient handyman. I researched the going rate for an independent electrician and we went from there. Given his ability to do just about anything I need done around my place, he will end up with my services at his disposal for the next year at the rate my "Honey Do" list keeps growing. I have bartered automotive, yard services, retail purchases, computer services, dental, legal and rent all successful for both parties as the arrangements were ongoing for long periods of time. I`m currently looking for a lawn maintenance/snow removal for the Ottawa area (South Kanata) but haven`t found the right fit yet. I only barter with professionals to keep it simple and efficient. I`m not sure how it would work with a straight woman tho...
