Various events sports related going on...
NFL playoffs...I thought they went mostly according to expectations thru the 3 rounds, was surprised Cowboys won in T.Bay.
Was very surprised the way Cinci handled the Bills, that was a dominant performance, after which I expected the Bengals to beat KC
in a similar way.
So, I was impressed by Chiefs defence, probably the best they played all season?
Also, Chiefs rookies stepped up big time.All-pro CB goes down, 3 rookies in the secondary get 2 int's..all-pro LB goes down, another rookie gets a sack.
Rookie Skyy Moore, who was a disaster on punt returns earlier in the year, made what Travis Kelce called the "play of the game" with a last-minute 29 yard return to give
great field position.Anoter rookie, Pacheco, was a stud,as he's been since early in the campaign.
So, KC had a less-than-100% QB, lost 3 WR's, a CB and a LB, and had depth guys, mostly rookies, step up.
If they get the injured back, along with the aforementioned depth personnel, I think they've got a shot against a very strong Eagles team.
In the Canucks recent game in Seattle Kraken fans were heard chanting, "Bruce, there it is". A report I read took it as disrespecting the Canucks, but I took it
as being in solidarity with "Nucks fans(who chanted the same thing in the last 2 home games of Boudreau's tenure).
I thought it was tossing shade at the aqualung bros?
Lots of social media on the death of Bobby Hull...a polarizing figure to be sure.
Keeping this to the on-ice part of him,he could lift people out of their seats at any time with spectacular rink-length rushes where you knew nobody
was going to strip him of the puck,and..the shot!
By coincidence I just read agreat book called the Devil and Bobby Hull by Gare Joyce, highly recommended.
the GOAT has retired again, this time for good, according to him.
Smart move to exit while still at an elite level with records that will never be broken.
I've probably overlooked some things so please feel free to join in, maybe in disagreement with my observations or with new events?
