I need a quick answer here in that I have scheduled an appointment and the SP wants me to show ID when I show up. I would assume this is requested in case I am LE but am also considering the alternative? Any opinions please?

I.d.??

Not something I'd be prepared to do. Showing ID is no way to filter out LE. Cops have driver's licences, just like the rest of us working stiffs. I can see that it might give her a sense of false security but, in the end, it is false. Anonimity is important for both provider and client alike. You can bet she won't show you her real ID, with home address etc. That's my miopic spin on it anyways.

Thanks for your miopic spin. So if it was LE they would not ask up front would they, they would only want to see it in the end?

Does she want to see your license and credit cards? And maybe run your ATM card through a reader so she can clone it? Seems pointless unless she wants something down the road, as pointed out above, cops have licenses too, get her to show you her id as well.

Hi..Don't do it.

I am speaking from 12 years of intense pooning experience...Don't do it...

Most Sp's would be more interested that you were legit, clean, nice guy, going to pay them, non-abusive, not LE, etc. What reason could she have for asking for your DL???

You are not breaking the law, so how could you be LE??? Tell her to read the Canadian criminal code, and as long as the festivities are taking place at your res, behinde closed doors...even if you were LE...All you could do is enjoy the pooning.

BillBo and baggins... are not the same person! :)
Just thought it was ironic...

Correct me if I'm wrong but doesn't le have to tell you they are le if you ask them?

:p

I don't think so, unless they are going to charge you with something.

As afar as I know, if you ask LE if they are, they can lie.
If you were LE going in for a bust, they can poon and get you after.
I see no need for showing proof of who you are, just be in a "private" area.

I suggest that the best all round solution is for the sp to checkin to a hotel vs customer...

The customers are usually the ones who don't want to give id to the hotel along with credit cards... because records might accidentally show up on the credit card bill...

I mean do SPs want to protect their annonimity from a hotel? Why its perfectly legal for them to check in...

Am I missing something blaitently obvious here? Other than the fact that joe blow might not show up and the sp gets stuck with a bill for a room.. but hey joe blow runs that risk to.. and joe gets to use the room only once...

What about entrapment? Whats that all about?
Furthermore... is this review board a 'public place'?

Just to finalize the original question from this morning, SP I was scheduled with did originally request a phone number with name via email. Last email I received provided hotel name and room number and requested I show ID as well. I did not provide ID and it was not requested when I arrived. I was told request was for first time visitors and for the girls safety. Not as big a deal as I originally thought.
