Typical sitcom humour,

a few good laughs, some that fall flat, The shows premise was good, just not developed to the level is needed to be a great show.

It was not a "Corner Gas"

for all of the hype it was underwhelming

I would watch it again, sometimes you need to give a new series a few episodes to finds it's pace and connect with the characters.

I watched it, I didn't really find it funny. It seemed like a bad rip off of a British comedy "The Kumar's at No. 42"

When I hear Peter Mansbridge say on The National that "there's a lot of buzz being generated about this show" and it's a show that's ON the CBC, my internal radar goes off. Can you say "self-serving"? I'm not a big CBC fan at the best of times but their field of expertise is most definitely not the shitcom genre. I'll pass, thanks.

It was ok. I found the humour to be trying a little too hard to be funny but the daughter on the show is pretty hot.

Refused to watch it

All of the hype turned me off. It seemed during the week before it aired there was always something on the CBC News about it. So much hype makes me wonder if the show is lacking. Commercials about the show is one thing, but to run newstory after newstory about the show all to hype it ain't news.

From what I saw on the news over and over again is Little Mosque on the Prairie as an attempt to clone CTV's Corner Gas but with a Muslim angle. I give it 2 seasons before it's cancelled because of low ratings.

Two seasons? This is the CBC, remember? Since when have low ratings deterred them from broadcasting shit programs forever?

I haven't seen the show; it has no appeal whatsoever for me. In any case, it strikes me as a totally lame attempt to be "inclusive". However, it could be fun to watch the CBC brass squirm if some imam issues a fatwa against them for slandering Islam. :p

LAME!

Totally not what I had expected. I left it running for a bit while I came back to my computer.

Over two million viewers. Possibly the largest audience for a Canadian show since Anne of Green Gables.

It was "okay" - not fantastic, not a bomb. I'll give it a few chances to get it's feet.Might develop into more than a one-joke premise.

Its humour is very similar to Corner Gas. Makes you chuckle, but not outright crack up. Its good point is that it pokes fun at political incorrectness. I say give it a few more episodes before we decide if it is a hit or dud.

I totally agree that it is over hyped and a let down (and I didn't have high expectations to begin with).

I chuckled a few times but in all honesty I think that they will rapidly run out comedic fuel. I'm sure the writers had YEARS to come up with stuff like "Johnny Jihad" and after a few episodes they will be rehashing it over and over, or scraping the bottom of the laughter can.

Low ratings is always a factor in the CBC's programming. It's a myth that they won't cancel a Canadian program because of low ratings. They make up some kind of an excuse and deny it was about ratings. Can you say An American in Canada? I thought it was a pretty good show, although not up there with Corner Gas. Where is it now? Cancelled. Low ratings.
