When is someone going to shoot this fucker and be done with it?

LOS ANGELES—New York Rangers player Sean Avery is out on bail after he was arrested in California on allegations he shoved an officer at his Hollywood Hills home.

Lt. Jorge Pardo tells City News Service that a neighbour’s noise complaint sent police to the home at around 1 a.m. Friday.

Avery was having a party and the visit was the second time police had attended, according to NBC New York.

Pardo says Avery answered the front door, shoved an officer and slammed the door but cooperated when officers knocked a second time.

The officer wasn’t injured.

The 31-year-old hockey player was booked on suspicion of battery on a police officer. He was released about seven hours later after posting $20,000 bail.

The Rangers say they'll discuss the matter with Avery and have no immediate comment.

Avery’s better known in hockey circles for his shift-disturbing antics rather than his play on the ice.

Beverly Hills. In the Kitchen eatin' vittles.
All I can say is he's lucky it's 2011.
Years ago, before things like the Rodney King incident and many others that followed, caused a "shift" in how they deal with assholes, the LAPD would have laid a beating on him so bad, his own mother wouldn't have recognized him.

He's lucky it's 2011 because in the old days of the NHL he'd have first lost his teeth, then had his nose broken a few times and maybe a cross-check to the throat.

Just imagine what Gordie Howe or Maurice "Rocket" Richard would do to a guy like this on the ice. They would need a scraper and shovel to remove him from the ice afterwards.
