A friend of mine has the galaxy by Samsung and for some reason she is losing emails after a few hours. She is not deleting them and they are on her PC but not on the phone. Using yahoo as her mail server and have checked all the options googled it and nothing very helpful.
So have come with hat in hand looking for any any advice or suggestions.
I see there is a mail app called k-9 that might help

There is/was a flaw with the gmail program that causes problems. It's a syncing issue and I don't know if it's been fixed.K9 is a great program, free, reliable, no ads. Did I mention it's free?

The setting is on the email client (Galaxy) side not the Yahoo side.
Instructions for Galaxy S

See the bullet point referfing to the 3rd picture.
•Enter the Incoming server settings: Username, Password, POP3 server (ex: pop.yourdomiain.com), Port, Security type, and Delete email from server, then tap Done, and then Next (figure 5)
Maybe this will aim you in the right direction at least.
Good luck.
