I recently visited an SP, ( this is not a review), and we spoke about romance. More specifically about what chances there were for someone in the Trade to find romance. This discussion and a couple of articles I read recently led me to wonder if perhaps many escorts yearn for a more permanent relationship. More like in the 19th century and the "keeping" of mistresses.

Any SP's care to offer their thoughts?

I'm not an SP so I hope you don't mind if I barge in here. I always thought that the (a good) SP (while in a session) was there to give you the "impression" that there is romance. Maybe thats why you think they yearn for romance, but I could be wrong. I would assume alot of the SP's would like to be a "mistress" if she could still earn the same income. But now that I think about it, wouldn't being a mistress still be given a false impression of romance?

I don't think we're talking mistress so much as kept woman ... although perhaps in the older sense of the word that was what a mistress was.

If I won the lottery I can think of some sp's I wouldn't mind setting up for my exclusive pleasure.

I'm sure that any sort of legitimate romance is next to impossible for a full time sp.

I've been with part time sps that seem to approach the biz more like they would dating though and it seems to be a more legit experience with/for them and have never had one decline being put on retainer so I'd have to guess that they do prefer being a mistress/kept woman to being a sp.

I love the poorly thought-out part about working girls "getting rich".

I'm sure the SP's who visit this site like the implied perception of us believing them to be unfathomably wealthy and yet still willing to put standards aside to spend time with us.

Not to mention the part about that more closely approximating normalcy than is known to the guys who post here.
