Here in the US that is what they are called. Not sure about in Canada. Anyway I am seeking any help as to location of a place you can rent horses by the hour.

This new lady I met a few months ago has been asking me to take her to one of these places. It seems that when she was a 17 y/o she came to the US for 3 weeks to stay with a family in Oregon. It was some kind of a language exchange program, and they had horses there and she has never forgotten the experience. She is just a simple country girl from a rural area near Nagoya and she misses that sort of thing living in Vancouver. On my previous times with her we have spent our days riding bicycles and I have never ridden with anyone who is able to ride like her. She said it has been her principle mode of transport in Japan for many years. She is definitely your usual Japanese girl. But, this time she wants something else. She asks and I provide, how could I ever refuse?

I will be renting a car as I realize these types of places are not available in the city.

Any help will be appreciated.

You don't necessarily have to leave the city...although white rock/langley/maple ridge have lots of options...you can also try southlands which is just south of kerrisdale/dunbar. If she's inclined, she could also try getting a p/t job there mucking out the stables.

Thank you, VV

I do not know that part of Vancouver very well but is it in the SW part of the city anywhere near Marine Drive? If so, that would be quite close to where she lives now. Again thanks.

Hiya Mike,

I can recommend the Langley 204 Equestrian Centre...http://www.corporate-living.com/langley204/

They advertise that they are only 35 minutes from Vancouver, but under average daily traffic conditions I think that the drive would take a little longer, maybe close to an hour. If you haven't been south of Richmond it might be worth it to check out the area. I would recommend a horse ride followed up with a visit to White Rock, which is a nice ocean side touristy place to visit.

The Langley 204 stable used to offer a guided ride through Campbell Valley park with a lunch stop at the Artful Dodger pub, but I don't see it mentioned on their website. You might want to inquire about it, as it was quite nice to break up the ride for a bit. Not too scenic, but a decent ride on an old nag.

Are you sure?
I Googled "photo George Bush horse" and got nothing.
Sure, his wife likes to brag that he jacks off horses, but he really doesn't have the guts.

Can anyone turn up a picture of him with a horse?
