Massagegirl, I didn’t say everyone on PERB is an asshat – not everyone. I didn’t say VRRB was a new improved board – you did.
your other question: if you follow TERB a good analogy shows with the relationship between TERB & GTAC. GTAC did not charge for advertising & a number of the same posters appeared on both TERB & GTAC, not necessarily using the same handles. GTAC certainly had unique Moderation and it developed a series of very prominent, and aggravating to some, members. GTAC just in the last week appears to have left the building – for whatever reasons.
overall, I would say having multiple boards, having a choice is a good thing. If VRRB continues to position as non-profit you should expect to certainly see an influx of sp advertising on VRRB, perhaps presence, than has been seen before on other local boards. It was said, by some, that the ladies who were willing to pay to advertise on TERB did so because of the type of traffic attracted by GTAC versus TERB. Like I said, there will be a settling out – the boards will shake out.
