Not sure where to start here. There was an SP I'd seen as an ATF precovid and she was semi retired throughout covid. I messaged her here and there and saw her a few times when things were reopening. She always had an App Number. She then stopped using it and gave out her real number that wasn't an App. For some reason i didn't save her real number and messaged her on her previous app number, and i didnt get any weird responses or anything. This was end of summer, and it had been a while since I'd last seen her. She didn't sound off over text and then I got a call, which was unusual. So I answered and she didn't sound like herself, and in the background was a guy. I realized immediately something was up. I said, I can't talk and hung up. I got a call the next evening and it was a guy telling me to pay up and telling me I wasted him and his girls time, and said "you don't want to get on the bad side of the infamous *redacted provider name*". I told him he's an idiot and to get a life. He said he wanted his money or else he'd share my number everywhere, told him he's welcome to.
I realized afterwards the sp in question is also retired and that number was her previous app number, which once you give it up anyone can be assigned to it. These text apps also allow you to look up available numbers and there's a good chance this number was taken by someone who probably knew or later became aware the number belonged to a sex worker and may be trying to troll people and run scams.
I'm not going to mention names here, as the girl is long gone from the profession, but it's a number ending with 0163.
