I don't know about independent, but if you want CBC Aimee/Flora (Westcoastangels) would be a great choice (just search on perb, highly rated).
Also heard of Taylor and Cindy from fellow perb buddies, never tried but they also have great ratings (I know Taylor is independent, but rarely see her ad)
I am looking at a few that recently showed up on dt though, haven't got around to try.
