Hello girls (and guys)
I'm very very new to this business and have travelled to Vancouver a couple of times to work. I'm looking for a decent hotel that is reasonably priced...is there such a thing?

Thanks in advance for the info!

(As a sidebar...I love this Lounge, informative, sometimes funny and a really cool place for a girl like me to have found. Ladies, I appreciate all of you thoughtful, creative, loving, cool, intelligent women out there. Confirms for me that I want to be doing this work along side of you.xx)

What do you consider reasonable?

There are a number of hotels which are decent and in the 150-200 range. You can find better rates off of hotel.ca or expecia.ca than the hotel will offer you.

Some of the nicer hotels also offer day rates if you just need a suite for a mid day tryst. I have stayed at the Four Seasons and Fairmont for a 150 day rate by calling the hotel a few days before.

Just

remember to make sure that there is no elevator key access because if you have to come running down to meet your clients everytime you have one (assuming you are seeing more than one a day)...you're going to be highly indiscreet.

The ones I can think of with no key access are the Georgian Court, Le Soleil, Quality Inn at False Creek (inexpensive but actually pretty nice)...to name a few. I think the Four Seasons would be heaty to work out of just because they do walk their guests to the elevator to remain to five diamond rating.

Just remember to ask about he key access thing. That could be a pain in the butt.

Try a

place like the Holiday Inn on Howe Street, Best Western by the Granville Bridge or even the Dufferin Hotel. Chateua Granville is not bad as far as rooms go, but if still operating as normal then you have to deal with security coming in usually after 10:00 p.m.

Best Western Chateau Granville :)
Yes...not a bad place. When I first made my way to Van this was where I stayed. Their weekly rates back in the days were quite affordable(I don't know about now)...plus the hotel also has a separate section in the back...which I found to be very convenient.
