Question to providers: DATY

Okay,

I love DATY, and I assume that if I'm seeing a classy, well reviewed/respected provider who also has another life like me, I should be relately safe in doing so.

Am I stupid?

It seems like (from the reviews at least) that a good portion of the guys do DATY and I have yet to hear about any negative effects.

Also, is there a tackful way to ask a provider - "It is safe?" without sounding like a jerk.

On the flip side, if I wanted to play it a bit safer and use saran rap, how do I bring it up without offending the provider?

I love the hobby, I just want to play it safe.

Pussy mouth sex is extreme lo risk to you with quality providers...the main risk is to us and so in this case, i'd be completely impressed if you whipped out your plastic.

Daty

This is a trend that depresses me... :(

DATY has it's risks but so does all sex, for me the enjoyment out weighs the risks, I've decided not to see several well reviewed women because they do not offer this service.

Thanks VV

So do I inform the provider beforehand that I will be bring some plastic with me? Or how do I do this without it being too awkward?

Also, as mentioned, many guys do like to DATY. So are they all just rolling the dice on this?

Not offended

I agree with V. "Lesbian sex" presents the lowest form of transmission.

As long as you don't shower afterwards using industrial strength floor cleaner.

If you are not well informed, it's okay to ask for plastic. I think it's even sexier.

slit condom

Saran wrap doesn't work well. It tends not to 'hug' the pussy and not stay put properly.

You are much better off to cut open a condom.
Before unrolling it, trim off the tip and then snip it lengthwise. When you open it up you will have a very neat rectangularish piece of soft, supple, thin rubber that will hug nicely to your partners lips and stay put. And you can feel much thru it too!!!

Obviously dental dams are the best bet, however, not easily accesible for some and I have found that a slit condom works very well. I was very impressed the first time and have used ever since when requested.

Do not be shy to bring it up. Most men in my experience are quite willing to go down uncovered however there is nothing wrong with adding some protection. In fact, we probably all should routinely but yada yada yada, we do not. And again, the risk is low but not altogether gone.

Protect yourself to your own comfort level, not someone else's.

I think it's usually best to bring this stuff up early in the session during the chatting phase, when you are getting a feel for the 'rules'. Just let your lady know that you would love to go down on her and (NOT but) you'd feel comfortable doing so using a dam/slit condom, and get it ready in advance. :) You don't have to say "I don't want to offend you" or "I don't want to hurt your feelings".
We ladies (sp's) are tough cookies. Not generally easily offended, we can handle it. This is your session. Be comfortable.

Awesome advice!

"To each his/her own"

That's what's great about this board. Honest answers.

I think the safest way to "play it safe" is to use this board.

I would suggest not kidding yourself into thinking you can discern a woman's classy, well-reviewed and respected genitalia from that of any other woman.

Having prefaced with that, I do still agree that you "should be relatively safe in doing (DATY on most random female sex workers)". There are still risks involved, but with DATY they are thankfully relatively low.

No, you are not "stupid".

No SP worth her oats could be "offended" by a client who prefered to play it completely safe by employing Saran Wrap for oral. I think that you would probably do well to skip the awkward "is it safe?" question - you're never going to get a meaningful answer to that, so why ask?

I am very much in your shoes with regard to a strong liking for DATY and I've found that it punctuates a session like nothing else can. One reason that DATY is probably much better with classy, well-reviewed and respected SP's is that they are in an arena where it is easier for them to relax while on their dates (vs. SW's who so often have their guard up). Lets be honest here, the woman's willingness to relax and enjoy is the central desire, it really isn't the mere taste of her goodies.

I find Saran Wrap easy enough to work with yet I find myself opting not to use it much of the time. Instead I rely on the guidelines I linked here in a recent entry suggesting the very low risks involved to the giver in DATY. (do a search for my posts and find one that links to the health dept. in San Francisco, for more info)

Keep enjoying...

Just out of curiosity - what is plastic? Is it some sort of a condom a dude must put on his tongue in order to provide DATY?
