I'm going to the states tomorrow for the long weekend and was wondering if anybody has had any experience crossing the border during Thanksgiving? What can I expect wrt to wait times?

Thanks

its not the US thanksgiving weekend

so it should be business as usual.

Rule #1: Never lie to the big guy at the border who's packin'

Rule #2: The border guys never have a sense of humour..

The only consistent thing is that you never know

I drove through a couple of days ago, and the bilboards said 5 minute wait. It took 1 hour and 45 minutes even though there were only about a dozen cars. For whatever reason, the guards decided to go through EVERYBODY's car and dig through all luggage.

In general, I find crossing into the US on a weekend takes around an hour to 90 minutes if you don't have a pass. Our dollar is almost at par with the USD at the moment, so it may be a little bit longer this weekend.
