Question about SP calling/texting you

Hello,

I had a sort of dumb newb question. I am just getting into this hobby but am concerned about my number being out there. I don't have a personal cell as my work phone does all the work.

If I call a mamasan or SP to book an appointment, I'm worried, do they ever text or call you in the future? If I got a text in front of any of my co-workers or boss, I would be pretty screwed. Not to mention in front of friends or family.

Thanks in advance.

If they're professional they probably won't contact you without prior permission.

You might want to invest in a cheap 2nd phone as well to alleviate your fears.

If you have a smartphone there are apps like textplus and fongo that give you a free local number and provide texting and calling.

It would be advisable to keep your work phone free of all things sex worker related though.

Over the years, there have been numerous references in this Lounge on this topic, guys receiving unsolicited texts about specials, availability, and general invitations to drop by, from ladies they had previously visited. It's a very unprofessional behaviour but I'd take all the precautions I could, if I was you...

You can try calling form a private number, then payphone, third option get a pooning phone. i think some pre-paid companies, if you buy $100 card, the card is good for 365 days. So if you go to the 7-11, you can get a cheapo phone and a 100$ card all for under $200. May seem like an "investmen"t into the hobby, but safety is really priceless.....:thumb:

Many SP's are willing or even prefer to use email for the majority of communications.

Start a gmail account, use it only for the purpose of communicating with your special lady friends. Only log into directly from your Internet brower, do not enter it in your phone or other device settings, apps etc or messages will archive into your cloud backup, making them tough to get rid of. You also might want to change your internet settings to private browsing.

SP's can then contact you without fear of discretion.
Doesn't gmail have a bunch of autoconnect features with their google+ and everything? So it starts automatically linking stuff if you forget to delink everything?

This is exactly why, despite the fact that I loathe the web version of Outlook, I refuse to make the switch to Gmail for my work e-mail.

actually the cheapest voucher is $25 (good for a year) and the phone right now is $49

an even better deal is a sim card for $10

air time is $0.25/min

Voice Mail FREE
Caller ID FREE
Call Waiting FREE
Three-Way Calling FREE
Incoming Text Messages FREE

no contract, no bills, no name required when purchased or when registering, vouchers can be purchased with cash at a 7-11

how much safer can you get?

the other plans mentioned, ie alternate lines, numbers etc. all leave a trace of the calls on your phone bill, and you are traceable through the carrier's system. with 7-11 Speak Out plan you can be totally under the radar

Until someone finds your second phone..or SIM card...I'm thinking of the series Breaking Bad here, the second cell didn't work out too well for him.
if you have an so that you're concerned about finding the second phone, then you should be VERY concerned about unexplainable calls listed on your bill, or carrier records that can be traced legally

if you can't hide a sim card from an so, then you shouldn't be pooning

breaking bad, despite its popularity, is a hollywood invention and shouldn't be used to guide one's life...

just sayin' :)

you can download an app
that screens numbers coming through
any sp I text I put in a list so if they text back it comes back as a system warning it doesnt look like a normal text til I go into the app
I think you can block/not accept phone calls with this app

but yes Ive had sp text me out of the blue which is really unprofessional
I dont mind if someone I contact asks if they can put me on a contact list though

On Android it is called Mr. Number and it changed my life!!! All private numbers go there and anyone I assign to the blocked list.

You can check the texts by going into the app. Really genius, genius.

I agree wholeheartedly with your last statement. And I will do that often when I start to see a client more, just ask if I can put their name in my contacts.

If I do call a client back the first thing I say is "Hi, its Vanessa, did I call at a bad time?" This way it gives the caller a chance to say "yes" or "wrong number".

If you can't (or don't want to) use a burner phone just setup a contact on your phone called "DO NOT ANSWER" or something. If anyone asks it's just some random person that keeps calling the wrong number or a telemarketer or something. Sometimes hiding things in plain sight is better than trying to manage layers of secrecy that you can (and probably will) screw up at some point.

Definitely use private browsing and a burner GMail account though...if you can't manage that part then maybe secrecy isn't for you.

The only SP's who contact me are ones that are very discrete and we sometimes chat via text. They would never call me unless I gave them permission to do so.

Over time you develop sort of a semi professional friendship with certain ladies since we all share a common bond by being here, being a provider and being a client.

If they had started by texting specials or other stuff, I probably would not have seen them again since I don't like to be spammed in any way.

By all means if you need to be ultra cautious, get a throw away phone but have a good reason for having it if someone finds it that will start asking you difficult questions.

Easy answer is to tell people you are a drug dealer when they see your second phone.

I had one sp contact me back (we didnt have a meeting) months later
with a message along the lines of
"hey baby Im back in town and Im horny"
this is prior to me having my app on my phone

after telling her that was rather inappropriate, I then find out she wasnt even in my city
and was on her wrong mass message list

Words of wisdom hiddencloud. I've lived by that principle for the last 8 years. I've always admitted that I had a 'home based massage business' to anyone who inquired about what I do for a living. It's the absolute truth so I can look them right in the eye and say it with conviction.

;)
A complicated lie is hard to maintain and easy to get caught in. A simple lie (or even better a half-truth) is significantly easier to keep up and doesn't need you to look over your shoulder all the time. It's something I've learned from playing poker over the years.

In your example you are telling the truth...maybe not all the truth but it's still the truth. In mine the name of the contact is actually true. You shouldn't answer it most of the time. The real name of the contact is probably "DO NOT ANSWER (unless you safely can and want to)" but only you know that you left that last part off ;)

I name the contact Unknown...I know who it is but, if someone else sees it coming up on my phone, they wouldn't give it a second thought. On the other hand, for pooning, that might get complicated, if you had 15 Unknowns. But maybe, since you're not going to answer the call anyway, that's still a safe bet.

You can always make typos (ie. DO NOT ASNWER) if you need more than one
