Prince can be a gritty rough town at times......I seem to always just pass through.
I've seen the S.W. carrying hatchets in the rougher parts of town ten years ago.

I'm afraid of Prince George.

They are always listed as a Top 10 Dangerous Canadian City on any List, and usually top 2.

Regina, Green Deer, Metal Buffalo are always on the Bad List. Saskatoon too.

Surrey is usually in the 6-9. It IS the grotto, after all.

Victoria is a surprising 7-10 dangerous city.

Everybody here knows why I'm afraid of Kelowna.

I am genuinely scared of Prince George. It has a reputation for a reason.

I cannot wrap my head around being afraid of a city or region inside of Canada.......I do understand being fearful or careful of a wild animal, ,a natural disaster,or a instrument of war.
I can walk down East Hastings, or a dark path of giant timber and not be afraid......Prince George is just full of rowdy blue collar workers that might be looking for trouble....that's nothing to be afraid of, they are just men like any other.

Yes that may have to be. I've done ok in PG. before but it's been about 20 years so things likely have changed. At that time I met a lovely local gal but the hotel had a false fire alarm just as we warmed up and things went awry quickly

Have not been here a day yet and can see the writing on the wall. Few pubs. No AMPS. DEAD DEAD!

However it's highly unlikely that there isn't a fun community here, it's just underground!
But I've only got a few nights here and can survive quite well in a virgin state.

Go to Ric's Grill, order a great steak and a bottle of decent red and chat up the waitress. $120 well spent and you just never know.....

Actually I went to the Black Clover pub on 3rd ave and it was great. Good drink and fabulous cheeseburger and definitely would repeat. Talked to the staff there about the downtown area being so dead abut their pub was very active and she said it gets better later on.

Maybe there is some kind of life here. I did some research and found a judge had been charged with sexual issues related to some young gals so maybe that explains the morbidity of the scene here.
