for some reason, i did stock up on these two teams in one of the smaller pools im in.
The Wings crushed everyone to the Finals.
4-0 over Blue Jackets
4-3 over Ducks BUT they outshot them by a really big margin and if it wasnt for the Goalie of the Ducks Hilner it would easiy be 4-0 or 4-1.
4-1 over Hawks. Hawks never had control of even 1 period.
4-1 over Pens.

I think that the 'Hawks were better than the 4-1 series showed. There were a few times where, just like in the series versus the Canucks, they were going on adrenaline and 'youthful exuberance'.
great game today! Detroit just has that much more poise than the Canucks... if only we handled our zone like Detroit can...

Yeah... but Detroit kept it focused and organized; they make it look easy. There's almost no way in hell a team with that much experience is going to lose to Pittsburgh. Wings in six.
That aside, I thought the conference finals were pretty boring compared to the second round.
