In one way not a surprise but geez the incompetence. Both the pilots who were supposed to be doing the safety check should lose their licenses.

some jail time for criminal negligence resulting in death might be more like it. the rest of the industry would sure wake the fuck up... same thing as that fuckin' yahoo with the balloon rides a few years ago that burned a load of tourists then plummetted out of the sky with them. i think somebody got killed there too. apparently he was a known yahoo who specialized in low level 'swoops' close to the ground or water with tourists on board :doh:
