Which "social media" site was used for this?
I do hope and pray that the girl is & will be ok, and also hope that she can and will tell the police about who drove her to the residence, and who her pimp is, or the gang she is being controlled by.

But certain councillors and politicians will tell you to bury your head in the sand to ignore it.
There are good people in that (and every) area of Winnipeg, but we all know that there are people like this, plus the gang activity which is prevalent.

Not sure what point(s) you're making. Are you saying he should have been caught sooner because there's that many cops in an area?

"Social media" could mean anything. Could be Craigslist or even BP. Could be a good reason why they're not being terribly specific.

As grim a picture as this is, it could have been worse. She's getting some help, I hope, at least, since CFS should now have been alerted. I still see that picture of the girl in the paper two years ago, about the same age, involved in similar stuff, found wrapped in plastic. And while this guy might well have known she was underage since he seems to have been a regular of hers, there's a certain 'there but for the grace of God go I' element to stories like this, i.e., a lesson to us all not to resort to the street (for that matter, be careful of BP). If the likelihood of arrest and possible loss of your vehicle doesn't keep you away, or the many and unpredictably violent drug-addled SPs who frequent the street, surely the idea that you might be unwittingly involved in with a minor should (and no, in the dark, you really might not be able to tell who's legal and who's a minor). The way things are in Winnipeg, it's just not worth taking that risk--for so many reasons.
