They started spending big bucks on brick and mortar stores so fast while neglecting their web user experience..

People wanted to shop online, they invested in physical stores.

Too bad.. I used to buy a lot there, until amazon took over.

How can anyone stop Amazon, they spend billions on paying the best of the best to destroy business models like the one that are employing you right now. If I was a college age person right now I would just join rank with AMZN however I can and let it sail.

Ya I always wondered about that myself...I've bought so much hardware from these guys over the years love them. How could they not of known that desktop gaming PC's were a dying platform. It's like Tower records for desktop PC's.

Those who think NCIX was bad should try shopping at Atic.
That's actually why Bricks and Mortar stores are failing. They all have this massive list of product. Then, you go to the store. Everything is drop shipped. Nothing is actually in the store. If you order from the web page, you pay and then wait, and wait, and wait some more. A month later, it still hasn't arrived. However, I've got to admit to using NCIX for the pleasure of picking up my order from the gorgeous woman that does that job.

I've bought from both stores. They always had my stuff in stock. (Of course I checked online beforehand.) I was talking about the customer experience. Always slow and poor service at Atic. They acted like they're handing out their stuff for free. The place also looked super sketchy like a cache for stolen goods. Never went back when I discovered NCIX.

I have shopped at:

https://www.a-power.com/home

for years and been very happy with their services and prices. I recommend as a replacement for NCIX. They have been tightening their belt as well recently. They just sent out message a not so long ago that their small satellite store on East Hastings would no longer be open on weekends. Better to tighten your belt than to go bankrupt I suppose ;-(

Go to the 41 minute point of video below to get more insight from former NCIX employees as to what went wrong for NCIX:

Sadly he merely babbled about his time working there and said very little about the company.

And if those guys just bothered to use their brains, they'd know that "Supreme Bankruptcy" means Supreme Court Bankruptcy case, just like "Provincial Small Claims" means Provincial Court Small Claims case.

I have used NCIX, A-Power and ATIC but I have found over the years that Frontier PC has the best Selection, Pricing and Service. They have a huge local warehouse, locations across Canada and shipments out of Toronto are fast.
