Yes, and as I just posted last night - I plan on doing just that by the end of today.
There is something you guys need to consider.. it's fine to try to book with little notice, sometimes it fits in perfectly but sometimes I'm already booked.. But no matter what the case, it becomes a real challenge to try to respond to everyone:

1. if I'm on the road (especially if I encounter some problems getting from one place to the next, like I did this time)

2. if I made it to destination but am tied up due to appointments.. it makes it hard to deal with emails, PMs and voicemail in the little spare time I have to get all that done, on top of my own personal stuff!


I'm not saying it's ideal, but sometimes I do not have a choice but to prioritize on here and now and later today... and tomorrow's issues will just have to wait. Since I don't book tons of appointments in a day even when I'm visiting (and I have no desire to change that), I always play it by ear.... so if I don't have anything booked, I'll usually change things around at the last minute (which I did in this case) and that leaves a lot up in the air. That's why I don't necessarily get back to everyone when it's last minute and I, myself, have no clue what is going to happen or when I will be there. I apologize if it sucks for you, but trust me, I'm sure the state of limbo sucks about 3 times more for me, being the one with flights and hotels and all that to deal with, always at the very last minute. If I had come on the original dates, I would have had to sit in a hotel room the first few days (and on my birthday), twirling my thumbs because of cancellations. So instead, I changed my flight (twice) and stayed in Edmonton for an extra couple of days since I had requests to make it worth my while and I have friends there to spend my birthday with. Then all at once, the requests for Winnipeg started coming.. Only at that point, there was only about a day and a half left (original dates) and I already had people in mind for appointments in that time. When I saw I was receiving a few more requests, I figured I'd adjust the dates for my visit. In the end I got here really late Thursday night after having spent the entire day waiting around at the airport and on a plane that got delayed for a while..


I got here dead tired and went straight to bed. I was stressed out and not in the best of moods, so I spent most of the next day just getting my stuff a little organized (I have been living out of suitcases and staying in hotels since April 1st!) and getting my dog out for a good run and a little fun after she'd spent the whole previous day in an airport or in a crate. Then I was feeling happy again and in a space where I could get back to playing. I saw Avery, the poor guy had been so patient when our appointment had to be postponed twice because of my difficulties getting here (many changes to my original booking and finally had to make a whole new booking!). I knew some people would be wondering what happened to me and why they had not heard from me.... so I posted the above message so they would know I'd adjusted the dates and would now be able to get back to everyone and hopefully have better luck scheduling appointments with a few days to go.


I'm not sure why you feel that comment was even necessary.. I always do my best, but the reality is that I'm on my own and even when I do my very best to deal with everything changing constantly and stay on top of it.... sometimes I get tired. So I rest. If I didn't, you would notice and neither one of us would feel very good about it. I want to do this when my head is into it and I feel good..... so I do what I have to do to make sure it is the case. The best I can do is give a heads up like I did yesterday, so it's clear that I haven't blown anyone off and I will be getting back to them today. I didn't really need to write this whole explanation, I could have spent this time replying to emails, but I have to say I did not appreciate the comment being made, especially after I had posted an update I hoped would be sufficient as far as keeping everyone who is waiting for a reply, advised and aware that I plan to get back to them.


I feel great, I'm looking forward to the next few days and I'm really excited about meeting those who's emails I will be replying to now.

It is great you took the time to explain, and most of us can see your point. We can also see Furball's dilemma in trying to see you (have you ever had a furball?? yuk...lol), as us customers do not know what is happening in the background.

This problem with travel and being able to contact the lady is nothing new - even when some agency is handling the booking - can be even worse when that is the case.

Ideal procedure: the lady should plan on arriving in our city, settle in, and the following day start the sessions. If settled in early enough, then all it takes is a quick post on here or pm a pre-arranged pooner to spread the word, and provide a session or 2 that night. Exciting surprise for the lucky pooners! Too idealistic? I can't see how a lady can advertise to provide sessions for 2 days in one city and the following 2 days in another city! Maybe that is why some are reluctant to book until they know the lady is here. Just my thoughts.
