Dear PERB Members,
I have been conducting research within the perb community on and off since 2005, and researching the local sexual services industry since my University days in the 1980's.
Developing websites, surveys, directories and networking groups with the intention of supporting the industry and maybe making a few dollars along the way.
Most of my support has come from members of the perb community, and although I have made a few dollars, it has never been enough to cover my costs.
I was skeptical about continuing this effort until I became politically involved 2009 (for a number of reasons) and began networking with people advocating various social causes - who are also supportive of my work on researching the local sexual services industry.
Consulting with academics, government, foundations, charities and businesses has further encouraged me to continue - and expand if I can...
I am about to take a BOLD new step and invite you to join me on this journey - get involved and help me make it happen.
I am developing a Patreon Page (featuring adult content) and invite you to become paid subscribers, not only to help finance my efforts, but also help me decide what to produce (how much) and how much to charge.
Many people have contacted me who are interested in working with me on this project (search Craigslist for "BCSSR" and you will find my current ads). But, these people are not necessarily involved in the industry, and they (of course) want to be paid (for their time).
I, of course, also need to have people who are actively involved in the industry if this effort is ever going to be taken seriously - and pay them for their time, as well.... Hey, disguises are ok (MaskTV style?).
Just think, any issue in the history of perb (or the local (global) sexual services industry) will be able to be explored. No topic will be off-base, as long as it is legal (ie: no kids or pets etc)... Paid interviews with people in the industry will be an important part of this, as will be discussions of ways to make the industry better for all involved - and hopefully (ideally) - ultimately more socially acceptable.
