Cops must have enough forensic evidence to figure this Garland guy killed them all.

This Garland guy had a beef over money he felt he was owed from the Grandfather. Likely heard they were having an estate sale and figured if he went there at the end of the day they'd have a bunch of cash around. Confronted them with a gun or a knife (that's why no one heard any shots). Either on purpose or during a struggle someone got seriously wounded. Garland forced everyone out. Took them to his parent's place, panicked and killed them all.

Poor kid. As a parent I can't bear to imagine the horror he went through in his final hours/days.

I'm not overly religious but at times like this I hope there is a hell where guys like this will burn and suffer for eternity.

Does it bother anyone else that this guy's name has been released despite not being charged? What if he's innocent? This will stay with him forever. He'll always be guilty in the eyes of the public.
You make a good point and actually it does and it should bother us all.
While a delicate balancing act against the public's right to know, I've always maintained that one of the major flaws in our system is the fact they name the accused/charged before any trial has happened. Even if you are found innocent, just because your name was initially out put there, some people will always think your guilty.
I used to play hockey with a few lawyer and a couple were Crown Attorneys. Even they admitted that there has been many people forced to move because their lives were turned upside down by charges later dropped or defeated. I know for myself a charge such as murder, rape, child molestation would be career suicide.
And that doesn't even cover the fact people go bankrupt defending themselves and have no means to recover their legal fees and expenses from the government when found innocent/not guilty.

Anyway it should be interesting when some of the details come out as to what the theory of the crime is. Hopefully this is not a case of the cops getting tunnel vision on one suspect like has happened so often in the past.
