I have just told my wife that I am ready to move on in life and move out. At first she thought I was kidding but after a while she realized that I was serious. Overall she took it ok she has been telling me for 2 years to move out so I told her you should not be surprised.

Anyway for everyone here what is life like becoming single again after 15 years. I have pooned but never had affairs with anyone. So now I will have to learn the art of dating and doing my own laundry.

Nice of your ex to keep doing the laundry for last 2 years;)

Split from my ex 13 months ago and couldn't be happier. Pointless staying in a passionless relationship just so you can say you're not alone. Felt like an old 53 with zero ambition a year ago, now like a young 54 with a lot of great years left. Haven't been this fit or had this much energy since my 20s.

Embrace it encarsia, do the things you need to do for you ... there's nothing stopping you now. :thumb:

Just remember that you are not single until you have a your Divorce Certificate in hand http://www.justicebc.ca/en/fam/basics/sep-div/certificate.html

When your wife goes to her lawyer, the lawyer is going to see if you have already filed for divorce. If you haven't, the lawyer will suggest your wife file on the basis of desertion and will also suggest that you be investigated so that your wife can file a "fault" divorce. A lot of people forget that you have to be especially "good" during the period that it takes to obtain a divorce.

She did not like the way I folded and very picky so that's why I did not do laundry. That's why I am moving on as being in a lifeless relationship is not good fore anyone

Seriously?
He's made a big step that will be better for both of them and you nag him about not doing laundry?!
I never did laundry either but I ironed my own.
Laundry is easy. I would've traded it for cleaning the bathrooms.
But in the end both jobs take relatively little time.
