Hey you fellow perberts and gear heads,

This Friday nite is yet another street legal race at Mission Raceway.
This time it looks like mother nature won't get her way with the rain crap
and our last run on July 8th was cancelled because of it.

As before if you wish to race your car truck or bike be there before
5:00 pm to get a good spot in the line.

And one other thing I will be racing in the Domestic class,
If you look for something "orange with a hockey stick stripe"
You've found Quarter Mile'r.
Come into the pits and say hello to QM'r.
Would love to meet some of you fellow perberts if thats to your liking.

Take care all and hope to see you at the drags.

Injection is nice but I'd rather be Blown

Annalise I would love nothing better than to have you cheering me on ;)
And thanks for the luck its going to be a great time with the king of
the hill brackets involved for some down and dirty serious shit.
Sorry to hear you live to far away babe.

Mick Eight the plymouth............oops did I just give away what I drive?
Nah you still gotta look out for something orange with a hockey stick
stripe down the side and if that doesn't give it away I don't know
what would.............well maybe a chevy or ford fan who doesn't know
what a hockey stick stripe is! ;)

The beast runs 12.90's at around 104 mph...........that's
what I ran the last time out.

Hitrack you gotta bring that beast out to the track whatever the hell
it is and if you beat me then your namesake isn't about the street
ho's anymore dude LOL!
Very cool baloney burns there man they look like the same tires
I am using, the Mickey Thompson ET Street drag radials.

If thats not the tires your using then they must be the old bald
tires you have worn out street ho'ing......LOL ;)

Thanks again to all for the luck and hope to see you at
the......."fast track".

I thought my bike was going to be ready to go...but the electrical gremlin struck. At least I got to ride it and didn't have to push it home. The no rear break issue is easy to fix.

imports bud, great fun to watch.
Except maybe for those rappin hat backwards guys!

See ya at the drags, it should be hot out.

me also! I like it when you see the $70 000 AWD Talons and Hondas get blown away by bettles worth a 1/10th of their cost.
Did someone once say some women are like the price of cars??

Very expensive and high maintenance but low performance !!! :D

I can only dream of what I could build with $70,000,
hmmmm..........528 ci hemi crate motor for starters....
now what classic piece of iron could I put that into ?
Maybe that 67 hemi GTX I've always wanted.

I would love it if they combined the import class with the
domestic class.......what fun that would be.

Ya those matching numbers cars are getting out of this world prices!!
Huge bucks for the real thing.
I was thinking of just picking one up that was say a 383 car and the
crate motor, rebadging it and bob's you're uncle.

At least it would "have" a hemi in it.

But all that is still just a dream, the crate motor alone is $30,000

1/4M - you need to switch to Bowtie. For under 10,000 you can get a high performance big block. This will be fast enough and consistent enough to make you competitive in bracket racing.

I will agree with you on the chevy parts being way cheaper but the
horsepower issue is another topic.
And of course I agree with you on the Hemi.......Geez am I showing
my bias here? ........snicker.........

El Diablo I feel for you on the electrical gremlins man just had the same
thing happen today and thought I wasn't going to make it, luckily I
got it fixed but got a couple of nasty hot wire burns on my fingers.
Went to install a new cut off switch for the elec' fuel pump and
one wire slipped over and grounded well the rest is history.

Ya Ya I know disconect the battery shithead!! I have a simple cut off
switch thats sticks out the back of the car cuz the battery is in the trunk
and in my haste forgot to flick it off..........D'oh

Anyway off to the drag strip hope to see some of perbs and gear heads
there.

I think they should make it mandentory for Ford power in Fords, Mopar in mopars and chevy power in chevy's. Then there would be more rivelry when racing. What do you think Q'r miler.
I bought a 34 ford with a big block ford motor in it and it was tough to find, everyone seems to be putting chevy motors in everything.

Chevys are cheep, thats why,if you want a hi HP mopar motor(crate)you pay for it.
Going to have to head to mission I think, been along time,,,,,,,,the last car I spent mony on was a 69 El-Camino Small block with 10 1/2 -1 comp,Nascar block,202 angle plug heads, steel crank rollers and a GALE BANKS twin TURBO;this was years ago but was soooooooooooo much fun,3 sets of rear tires(N-50 -15 mickys)and went through 2 tranys and 2 rear ends in one summer :D

Phuck,those were the days

More money = More Horsepower. It does not matter what company made the engine.

But HP only matters if you are in one of the eliminator classes. Bracket racing is all consistency.

I have seen 15 sec dial in beat much faster cars, although that first red light loose rule needs to be changed.

I raced in the Super Street bracket for 2 years. Never really did that well, but it was fun. The biggest challenge is slowing the car down to 10.90. But after while this became boring and I stopped. I had lots of money just in the computers needed to be competitive.

I agree with you there bro, a friend of mine races in super pro, she,
.........YES LADIES........SHE...( I love it that more women are getting
involved in the sport but still need more ), runs a 71 demon with a crate
chevy motor in it aaaaaargh !!.
Fast machine runs mid 9's and Warren Johnson from super stock actully
met up with her when he was here at Mission 3 years ago and sat in her
car, I think she is still kissing the shifter.............not that one you perberts,
the shifter in her car.
Anyways for the most part people still run the type of engine that matches
what the vehicle is.

In normal bracket racing, ie pro, super pro, or domestic, sportsman or even outlaw if both guys red light they still race, I know its confusing, but then the tower computers take over there, and even if both drivers breakout at the
finish line, the one who was less bad at the double red light or even the
double breakout wins.
Bracket racing is exactly like you said, consistency rules the day,
unless you fall asleep at the light and get a shitty reaction time,
then your day is done.
Now as far as S/S brackets I'm not sure about the first red light loose rule that could still be in affect because of all the electronic timers and computers
on board the vehicle.

ooooooooooooo I live to far away to come down and see you, but I'm sure a few ladies or gents closer will be able to....

Tell us all how you do in the race.

GOOD LUCK !
Well her it is boys and girls the outcome of how QM'r did at tonites
S/L races.
FIrst I did a little tuning on the car down jetted because of the hot weather
and down sized the gap on the plugs to 35 thou first hit out she ran
like my sweet heart of old hit a 12.647 at 106.79............YESSSS !!!!

Anyway on to the brackets, 32 cars in the line up (hmmmmmmm line up
sounds familiar some how :D )

Beat the first two guys with a 12.74 and then a 12.71 little too much spool
on the latter when I launched but got very lucky, the guy I was racing
is a veteran by the name of daryl tinney he dialed in at 11.10 and me at
12.77.
We both broke out at the end (which means we went over our dial in)
He broke out by .100 more than I did so I
won the race.
On that run I had what I consider a great reaction time of .167 that
was sweet.
Now after those two runs there is eight cars left in the field, holy shit
the butterflys are going in the stomach now. One more win and its the
pooning round.........er I mean money round.

Get up to the third round (eight cars left) and have to go against another heavy hitter long time racer running a great 65 mustang that runs 9.75. Jason......can't remember his last name.
Anyway we launch, rocket down the Quarter Mile and at the top end
he beats me by .0025 seconds..............Shit. A great race and on top
of that loss which knocked me out of the money round I ran right
on my dial of 12.72 with a 3.
Jason beat me at the light he had an incredible .088 reaction time
and mine was a .267 all on the pro lite which is a .400 lite.

All in all it was a great time and racing is truly a blast especally those
brackets.
There were four prize money spots, first place 350 bucks, second 200
third and fourth a hundred each.

Sure wanted one of those money spots the ol pooning pot
would have loved that!. :D
Oh speaking of which the eye candy there was.............lovely !!

Saw this really gorgeous Asian spinner babe with big tits about 5 foot nothin' and guess what .............just what I love.......long straight black hair
down to her ass..............sigh !!!!!
Guess what was on my mind.....FS, CBJ, BBBJ, Digits.........
Always thinking like a true pooner !! :D

Hmmmmmmm maybe thats what lost me the last race.
Ya right excuses are like assholes every body has one.

Next Friday is yet another S/L race and more King of the Hill brackets.

Hope to see ya there gear heads.
